Swiss Power-to-X Collaborative Innovation Network

SPIN DAY Workshops

*** This page will be updated before and during SPIN DAY 2022. ***

To initiate initial networking among power-to-X stakeholders, three expert workshops have been held online in recent months. They were organized by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI). Participants were researchers and companies involved in various projects related to the research and production of synthetic fuels – especially kerosene – or planning to do so. The following graphic from the FOCA provides an overview of the various stakeholders.

The experts’ workshops, each attended by between 3 and 4 dozen people, addressed issues of technology, ownership, frameworks, and assessment of potential projects. At SPIN DAY 2022 (referred to as “Symposium” in the graphic), attendance workshops will now be held for the first time. In addition, the circle of participants will be significantly expanded. A hall has been rented for the workshops, so that there will be enough space even for 150 participants.

In order to guaranteed that in 40 available minutes useful results will be achieved no more than 10 people will take part in each workshop-group. Whenever possible, these group had minimum one remote interaction prior to the in-person event on 23rd of June, led by the “topic owner” or “moderator”.

Participants in SPIN DAY are asked to send their questions and topics to the organizing team. These will be recorded and published on this page. This page will therefore be updated from time to time. It’s worth checking back every now and then. Or you can subscribe to the blog (top right), which we will also use to inform you about new workshop topics.

The following topics have been identified for workshops. Some of them will be worked upon in the morning and in the afternoon. For some of these topics we still need a topic owner / workshop moderator. These are marked with a star (*). Workshops without a moderator will not be conducted. Apologies, that some titles are in German, but these workshops are going to be conducted in German. For a translation we recommend www.deepl.com
